Subscription & Cancellation Policy
What's included in your membership, how billing works, and how to cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis as described below.
1. Subscription plans
Your membership is charged at signup (price shown at checkout). That fee covers access to the app and protocol marketplace, the onboarding bloodwork panel, and coordination of clinician reviews with Arora Health and/or its subsidiary entities ("Arora Health"), the professional-services provider. It does not include medication. Additional Complete Panels are $399 each; other tests are sold at their listed price. If a clinician prescribes a protocol for you, that treatment is a separate charge, and you are not charged for it until the clinician approves it.
| Plan | Billing | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | Monthly | $69/mo | Baseline membership — coordination of clinician reviews with Arora Health clinicians, platform access, and one standard onboarding test (two panels, not recurring) |
| Optimizer · Most popular | Monthly | $99/mo | Higher-touch membership with two standard lab panels a year |
| Elite | Monthly | $189/mo | Highest-touch membership with four advanced lab panels a year |
Exact plan details, features, and pricing are displayed in the app at the time of purchase. See Plans & Pricing for full comparisons.
Membership includes the app, marketplace access, the onboarding bloodwork panel, coordination of the blood testing in your plan (see Section 2), and coordination of clinician reviews with Arora Health (the professional-services provider). A tier never buys medication access and never limits which protocols a clinician may prescribe.
2. What's included — and what's not
Depending on your plan, your membership may include coordination of clinician reviews with Arora Health clinicians, lab testing coordination via Tasso, prescription coordination through WellSync, and your health dashboard, protocol tracking, and in-app messaging. Blood testing by plan: Essentials includes one standard onboarding test (two panels, not recurring); Optimizer includes a standard lab panel every 6 months (two a year); Elite includes four advanced lab panels a year. Additional panels beyond your plan are available at additional cost.
Not included unless expressly stated: the cost of compounded medications and prescription therapies (billed separately after clinician approval), lab fees beyond those in your plan, shipping and handling, emergency or urgent care, and services not listed in your specific plan. Medication is never included in membership.
3. Billing
First charge. Your membership is charged at signup. That first charge covers the onboarding bloodwork panel and coordination of your clinician review. Monthly membership billing begins one month after you confirm a prescribed protocol or, if the clinician does not prescribe one, one month after you joined. We charge for a protocol only after a clinician approves it.
Billing frequency. Monthly plans are charged on the same calendar date each month.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period until you cancel. If you cancel at any time before a renewal charge is taken, we do not take that charge.
Renewal reminders. If you have a protocol in progress, it runs in 3-month cycles. We send a renewal reminder 14 days before each 3-month cycle ends, so there is time to complete your blood test, goal review, clinician review, and prescription before the next cycle. For other monthly renewals, including memberships without a protocol in progress, we do not send a reminder; we send a receipt after each charge. We also send any additional renewal notice that applicable state auto-renewal law requires (including the California Auto-Renewal Law, Oregon Revised Statutes §§ 646A.292–646A.295, New York General Business Law §527-a, and similar statutes).
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge. Repeated failures may suspend or terminate your subscription; we will attempt to notify you by email.
Price changes. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of price increases. If you do not accept a new price, your subscription will not renew.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel anytime. Go to Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription, or contact us at support@halftime.health. The cancellation flow in your account settings may show optional offers, such as a discount or a pause. You can skip any offer and cancel in the same flow, without contacting support.
When it takes effect. If you cancel at any time before a renewal charge is taken, we do not take that charge. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling your membership also cancels your protocol subscriptions at the same time: we do not take any further membership or protocol charge and do not start a new pack. Anything you have already paid for still ships. You will not receive a prorated refund for unused time unless required by law.
Effect on care. Cancelling ends your platform access, not any ongoing medical relationship with an Arora Health clinician. If you are actively prescribed a therapy, discuss continuity of care with your clinician before cancelling. Access to your medical records and lab results is available on request even after cancellation.
5. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, and we do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods. We may issue refunds where you were charged in error, where a technical failure prevented access during a substantial portion of your billing period, or where required by law. To request a refund, use the support channel in Ask Hana. Our operations team reviews each request manually. We process an approved refund to your original payment method within 3–5 business days.
Medication and on-demand lab panels are charged separately from subscription fees and are subject to the refund policies of WellSync and Tasso; these are generally non-refundable once services are rendered or medications shipped. The onboarding bloodwork panel is included in your membership and is not a separate charge.
First-cycle exception (kit never drawn). If a clinician determines you are not clinically eligible for a prescribed protocol after payment and prior to shipment, and your onboarding bloodwork kit was never drawn, we refund that first membership charge. If the kit has been drawn, we keep it. See Terms of Service, Section 4.3, and the Clinician Review & Refund Policy.
